Lee will discuss progress made on the flood-abatement program now underway in Cumberland, as well as future work that will be completed.

Cumberland Mayor Charles Raleigh, who has coordinated the program for the city, will also be in attendance to offer additional information. Raleigh encourages all residents who will be impacted by the project in any way to attend the meeting.

Lunch will be provided by the Tri-City Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. In order for them to prepare lunches for those attending the meeting, individuals are asked to call Suzanne Williams at 606-589-5812.

The community meeting is one of four that the Tri-City Chamber of Commerce will sponsor throughout the year, according to President Jeff Wilder.

Other topics include state highway construction plans, programming at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College and Kingdom Come State Park updates.
