Down 5-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning, the Harlan Lady Dragons rallied with four runs to force extra innings, then scored once more in the eighth to win 6-5 on Thursday over visiting Jenkins.

“I am so proud of our girls. They stuck it out and played together,” Harlan coach Alexandria Pennington said. “Every girl on our team contributed, either at the plate or on the field. We were down going into the seventh inning and this team rose to the occasion. I can’t express how proud I am of each and every one of them.”

Angel Wynn led the Harlan offense with two doubles and a single. Kailey Cornett singled twice. Haven Saylor had a double. Reagan Jones, Kaitlin Cornett, Kelli Bennett and Emma Eversole added one single each.
