Cloud, Smith lead Evarts to a win over Lady Skins

Aliyah Cloud scored 16 points and Jaylin Smith added 15 as Evarts (8-0) rolled past visiting Cumberland 49-7 on Monday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action

Maisey Sergent led the Lady Skins with three points.

Drucilla Brown and Ashley Preston each scored eight points as Evarts won 31-9 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Evarts won 9-0 in a fourth-grade game as Macy Jones scored six, followed by Chelsey Farley with two points and Willow Peace with one.

The Lady Cats return to action Thursday at Harlan. Cumberland plays at James A. Cawood on Thursday.

North leads Trojanettes as they defeat Green Hills

Keely North poured in 14 points as James A. Cawood coasted to a 37-14 win Monday over visiting Green Hills in a seventh- and eighth-grade game.

Serenity Whitehead paced the Lady Falcons with seven points.

Ella Karst scored eight as JACES won 36-0 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

North scored 14 as the Trojanettes downed Knox Central 29-24 on Saturday at Bell Central.

Kylie Jones scored 14 points as JACES won 28-15 over Boston at Bell Central in fifth- and sixth-grade action. Karst scored nine in a 25-20 win over Flat Lick.

Green Hills plays at Rosspoint on Tuesday. The Trojanettes play host to Cumberland on Thursday.

Lady Comets pull away for a win over Black Mountain

Led by 13 points from Lauren Smith, Cawood pulled away in the second half for a 44-21 win over visiting Black Mountain in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Monday.

Isabell Kirby led Black Mountain with nine points.

Cawood won 31-8 in a fifth- and sixth-grade game as Abbi Fields led the Lady Comets with 11 points.

Black Mountain won 7-6 in a fourth-grade game.

The Tigerettes won two games Saturday at Bell Central, defeating Frakes 47-21 and Lone Jack 25-15.

Cawood plays host to Wallins on Tuesday. Black Mountain returns to action at Cumberland on Monday.
