Black Bears fall at Cordia

Senior guards Darryen Pringle and Kalll Harris teamed for 51 points as Cordia grabbed an early lead and rolled to an 84-67 win Tuesday over visiting Harlan County.

Pringle scored 28 and Harris added 23 for the 11-15 Lions. Nazim Welch chipped in with 18 points.

Tyler Cole scored 28 and Taylor Spurlock added 25 for the 19-10 Bears, who have lost three straight.

Harlan County will close its regular season schedule Friday at Whitley County.

Led by 26 points from Daniel Carmical and 13 from Jonah Swanner, Harlan County defeated Cordia 62-51 in junior varsity action. Jeremiah Clem and James Gray contributed eight points each. Tristan Cooper added seven.

Jeremiah Thomas led Cordia with 28 points.
