“(I’m proud) of Keldon and Tyler, who are off to fast starts with their teams in the NBA Summer League,” Calipari tweeted. “Can’t wait to see what PJ Washington and Reid Travis do.”

The Summer League teams will compete in preliminary games before being seeded in a tournament that concludes with a championship game on July 15.

Former Kentucky players Reid Travis (Atlanta Hawks), Aaron Harriso (Boston Celtics), Mychal Mulder (Chicago Bulls), Jarred Vanderbilt (Denver Nuggets), Issac Humphries (Los Angels Clippers), Kebin Knox (New York Knicks), Hamidou Diallo (Oklahoma City), Derek Willis (Phoenix Suns) and Skal Labissiere (Portland Trail Blazers) will join Herro, Gabriel and Johnson in the Las Vegas. PJ Washington of the Charlotte Hornets has been listed as doubtful for the league.

All games will be carried on various media platforms on ESPN.

KANTER SIGNS

Former Kentucky player Enes Kanter signed a 2-year, $10 million contract with the Boston Celtics . Kanter averaged 13.1 points and 8.6 rebounds for the Portland Trail Blazers last season.

Calipari was glad to see Kanter land with the Celtics.

“Enes helped our team to the Final Four without playing a single game by making us better in practice every day,” Calipari said. “The Celtics should be right there atop the Eastern Conference next season.”
