Heavy winds and thunderstorms hit the region early Wednesday. According to Harlan County Emergency Management Director David McGill, winds blew material from a nearby building onto the Save-A-Lot grocery store in Harlan. Also, a beauty shop in Evarts suffered damage and trees were blown down all over the county.
