McMillian leads JACES over Wildcats

James McMillian scored 13 points to lead James A. Cawood to a 30-26 win Thursday over visiting Rosspoint in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Will Cassim led Rosspoint with 10 points.

Landon Brock scored 17 as JACES won 41-34 in fifth- and sixth-grade action. Kaden Jones and Terry Delaney added 10 each.

Jayce Brown led Rosspoint with 14 points.

Evan Simpson poured in 20 points as Wallins defeated Evarts 53-38 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action. Ethan Simpson and Trenton Cole added 10 points each for the Devils.

Aiden Reynolds led Evarts with 14 points. Dion Brown and Hunter Napier added 10 points each.

Evarts won 33-27 in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Brenton Bargo paced the Wildcats with 11 points.

Tanner Daniels scored 15 to lead Wallins.

Wallins won 13-3 in a fourth-grade game.

Cawood celebrated Eighth Grade Night on Monday with a 40-39 win over Evarts in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Hunter Clem scored 17 and Jace Noe tossed in 12 to lead the Comets.

Ashton Sizemore led Evarts with 17 points.

Ethan Shular scored 18 and Jake Brewer tossed in 11 as Cawood defeated Cumberland 39-12 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Shuler and Brewer scored 15 and 13 points, respectively, as the Comets defeated Green Hills 39-23.

Ethan Huff led the Falcons with 17 points.
