The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• James Hammonds, 38, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Nov. 29. He was charged with non-payment of courts costs/fees/fines;

• Brandon Buell, 34, of Dayhoit, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Nov. 29. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• Benjamin Sullivan, 37, of Baxter, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Nov. 29. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Heather Fournier, 30, of Wallins, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Nov. 29. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Harold Johnson, 43, of Loyall, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Nov. 29. He was charged with failure to appear, a parole violation warrant and public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• John Brock, 30, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Nov. 30. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Benny Back, 33, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Nov. 30. He was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines and contempt of court;

• Beth Holman, 29, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Nov. 30. She was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Willard Smith, 34, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Nov. 30. He was charged with contempt of court;

• Erica Burgan, 24, of Harlan, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Nov. 30. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Misty Swanner, 38, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Dec. 1. She was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Tommy Saylor, 53, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Dec. 2. He was charged with violation of conditions of release, alcohol intoxication in a public place (first/second offense) and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified);

• Justin Gilbert, 28, of Baxter, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 3. He was charged with failure to appear, public intoxication of a controlled substance (excluding alcohol) and possession of drug paraphernalia;

• David Boggs, 32, of Girdler, was lodged in the detention center from Knox County on Dec. 3. He was charged with third-degree assault (correctional officer), obstructing governmental operations, theft by unlawful taking (under $500) and failure of owner to maintain required insurance;

• Curtis Pace, 52, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Dec. 3. He was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Nicole Phillips, 35, of Cumberland, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 3. She was charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence; minor injury);

• Devin Shepherd, 29, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Dec. 4. He was charged with failure to appear and two counts non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• David Smith, 59, of Baxter, was arrested by probation and parole officers on Dec. 4. He was charged with four counts probation violation;

• Aaron Huff, 25, of Dayhoit, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 5. He was charged with first-degree indecent exposure and alcohol intoxication in a public place (first/second offense);

• Bradley Simpson, 25, of Totz, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 5. He was charged with operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and operation of a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Kenneth Mann, 36, of Wallins, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 5. He was charged with failure to appear and non-payment of courts costs/fees/fines;

• Gabriel Carmical, 42, of Coldiron, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Dec. 5. He was charged with contempt of court and failure to appear;

• Chad Collett, 29, of Dayhoit, was arrested by Kentucky Fish & Wildlife officials on Dec. 5. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol), possession of drug paraphernalia and third-degree controlled substance (drug unspecified);

• Bobby Freeman, 49, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 5. He was charged with failure to appear.
