Harlan County High School band director Jeremy Bell played the trombone for sixth-grade students at Cawood Elementary School last week. Eric Barnes, who teaches band at Cawood and several other elementary schools, also demonstrated instruments for students. Both directors talked about the county’s band program and encouraged students to participate. Bell said over 120 students participated in band in the county elementary schools with another 30 in the high school band.
