The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• James Walker, 46, of Baxter, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on July 26. He was charged with contempt of court;

• Brian Saylor, 44, of Coldiron, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on July 27. He was charged with reckless driving, no brake lights (passenger vehicle), failure to produce insurance card, license to be in possession and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Anthony Smith, 41, of Harlan, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on July 27. He was charged with a serving bench warrant for court;

• Teresa Wells, 35, of Cawood, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on July 27. She was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle;

• Kimberly Holbrook, 20, of Cranks, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Department deputies on July 28. She was charged with three counts failure to appear and contempt of court;

• Desirae Davidson, 21, of Cumberland, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on July 29. She was charged with theft by unlawful taking (under $500) and failure to appear;

• Kaitlynn Helton, 22, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Department deputies on July 30. She was charged with drug court sanction;

• Tommy Napier, 68, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on July 30. He was charged with second-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving and improper signal;

• Jennifer Goodin, 36, of Grays Knob, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on July 31. She was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol and resisting arrest;

• Bobby Helton, 64, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on July 31. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• Candice Rice, 36, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on July 31. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Candance Smith, 35, of Harlan, was arrested by Loyall Police Department officers on July 31. She was charged as a fugitive from another state (warrant required) with failure to wear seat belts, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license, possessing license while privileges are revoked, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card, four counts failure to appear and non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Abelardo Alaves, 33, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on July 31. He was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, reckless driving, failure to wear seat belts, no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, license to be in possession and failure to register transfer of motor vehicle;

• Virgial Anger, 27, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on August 1. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Victoria Wilkie, 25, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan County Detention Center officials on August 1. She was charged with probation violation;

• Paul Peavey, 38, of Chatsworth, Georgia, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on August 1. He was charged as a fugitive from another state (warrant required).
