Job fair planned Thursday at Harlan Center

A multi-employer job fair is coming to the Harlan Center on Thursday.

If you are out of work or underemployed, make time to stop by the Kentucky Career Center Job fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

More than 15 employers that currently have jobs open in the county will be on hand to take applications and some may conduct on the spot interviews.

• JR Coal Company

The Kentucky Office of Mine Safety and Licensing will also be at the event providing information on MSHA cards, surface mining cars and other requirements and trainings to receive mining cards.

There will also be drawings for prizes for job seekers in attendance.

This job fair is in partnership with the following: EKCEP, Kentucky Career Center JobSight, American Job Center, Community Action Agency, One Harlan County and the Harlan County Economic Development Authority.
