A child took delight in the festivities Wednesday during the Fourth of July Parade held in downtown Harlan. The parade, produced by Harlan Tourism and the city, was one of several holiday-related events for the public, culminating with a lavish fireworks display. Hundreds turned out on a sweltering summer day.
