Swanner scores 22 as Skins claim a victory over Wildcats

Jonah Swanner poured in 22 points as visiting Cumberland won 58-39 on Thursday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action at Evarts.

Johann Gist added 11 points for the Skins and Jayden Gist and Justin Moyers each chipped in with 10.

Austin Tindell scored 16 points and Tristan Cochran added 14 for the Wildcats.

Hunter Cornett tossed in 12 points as Cumberland won 37-34 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Grayson Grills paced the Wildcats with 11 points.

Evarts won 5-2 in a fourth-grade game as Brady Freeman scored four points and Dylan Lambert added one for the Wildcats.

Thomas Jordan, Conner Blevins and Caleb Reynolds each scored eight points as Rosspoint defeated Green Hills 40-32 on Tuesday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Andrew Hensley scored 13 points and Hunter Crain added 11 for the Falcons.

Led by 12 points from Brody Napier, Rosspoint won 49-10 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Keithan Shepherd led Green Hills with eight points.

Brody Branson scored six points to lead Rosspoint to a 24-2 win in the fourth-grade game.
