Students in the Life Skills classes at Harlan County High School learned first aid on Friday from Harlan ARH trauma coordinator Jennifer Williamson. Students were taught how to bandage and stabilize injuries as Courtney Thomas worked with Victoria Huff and Octavia Fields worked with Isaac Taulbee. Hannah Miller worked on Trenton Thomas’ wrist injury. Students also got a look at a Trans-Star ambulance and heard from paramedic Robert Bell and EMT Chris Couch. Bell talked to several students, including Amil Wilson, Houston Williams, Andrew Hensley and Casey Jones as they sat in the ambulance as it made a stop at HCHS.
