Brittians Creek Baptist Church, Kenvir, will present two Christmas plays at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15. The adult play, “The Christmas Buffet,” will give you some laughs but will teach you the true meaning of Christmas. The youth play, “The Greatest Gift of All,” will show that Jesus is the greatest gift of all. They will end with a nativity followed by singing “Happy Birthday Jesus.” Rev. Pine Mountain State Resort Park will host Breakfast with your Holiday Buddies from 9 a.m. to noon on Dec. 15. This themed breakfast is perfect for the young, and young at heart. Join Santa, The Grinch and even Sasquatch as they celebrate the holidays. Have your picture taken with any or all of the characters. The dining room will be serving Grinch-themed foods, such as green pancakes! A holiday story will be read 11 a.m. The only cost is your food, with kids breakfasts starting at $3. Harlan County Christian School will present their annual Christmas Light Display, Harlan County Celebrates Christmas, at the Shriners Fairgrounds in Putney for the 2018 Christmas season. The display will be open to the public from 6-9:30 p.m. and can be viewed every Thursday, Friday and Saturday beginning Nov. 23. The display will also be open Dec. 19 (Wednesday). Sip on hot chocolate and munch on a candy cane while driving around the light display as many times as you like. Christmas music may be streamed through an FM channel on your car radio. The display is free to the public; however, donations to the Harlan County Christian School are greatly appreciated. The Shriner train will run (excluding Nov. 30 and Dec. 1) every Friday and Saturday, weather permitting.
