Jordan, Kelly lead Wildcats to win over Black Mountain

Thomas Jordan scored 13 points and Isaac Kelly added 12 as Rosspoint defeated visiting Black Mountain 49-34 on Tuesday in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Zack Burgan scored nine points and Bruce Burgan added eight for Black Mountain.

Brayden Howard was one of three Wildcats in double figures with 12 points as Rosspoint coasted to a 56-20 win in the fifth- and sixth-grade game. Noah Brewer and Bryan Howard added 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Drake Harris paced the Tigers with 11 points.

Blake Hensley scored 10 points to lead Rosspoint to a 32-4 win in the fourth-grade game.

Rosspoint returns to action Thursday at Hayes Lewis. Black Mountain plays host to Cumberland on Thursday.

Carmical scores 23 as Wallins edges Cumberland by one point

Daniel Carmical scored 23 points as Wallins held on for a 40-39 win over visiting Cumberland in a seventh- and eighth-grade showdown Tuesday.

Jonah Swanner scored 18 and Jaedyn Gist added 15 to pace the Redskins.

Lane Grubbs and Trenton Cole scored 15 and 13 points, respectively, as Wallins won 35-28 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Dionte Long and Tyler Lunsford led Cumberland with eight points each.

Wallins plays host to Black Mountain on Tuesday. Cumberland travels to Black Mountain on Thursday.

Green Dragons sweep past Oneida Baptist, Red Bird

Harlan rolled to a pair of sweeps in recent middle school basketball action against Oneida Baptist and Red Bird.

The 9-6 Green Dragons defeated OBI 56-16 in seventh- and eighth-grade action. Jackson Huff led Harlan with 15 points. Evan Browning added 10 points.

Maddox Huff scored 13 points and Trent Noah added eight as the 12-0 Dragons won 41-7 in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Harlan defeated Red Bird 59-10 behind Jackson Huff’s 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Maddox Huff and Trent Noah scored 10 points each to lead the Dragons to a 48-10 win in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Rhymer leads Comets as they coast past Wildcats

Jared Rhymer scored 12 points as Cawood (3-2) defeated visiting Evarts 39-12 in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action on Tuesday.

Terrin Bennett scored six points to lead Evarts.

Cawood returns to action Thursday at home against Green Hills.

Thomas Jordan poured in 23 points to lead Rosspoint past Evarts 47-37 on Thursday at Evarts.

Austin Tindell and Jayden Ward each scored eight to lead Evarts.

Noah Brewer scored 16 and Samuel Henson added 11 as Rosspoint rolled to a 50-12 win in the fifth- and sixth-grade game.

Matt Long led Evarts with six points.

Luke Kelly and Brody Branson each scored four points as Rosspoint won 13-8 in the fourth-grade game.

Evarts plays at Cawood on Tuesday. Rosspoint travels to Wallins on Monday.
