Caleb Adkins had plenty of big nights on the football field as a receiver for the Harlan Green Dragons. He enjoyed perhaps his biggest night in baseball on Saturday, driving in two runs and scoring two while pounding out two doubles and a single in the Dragons’ 13-7 win at Thomas Walker, Va.

Andrew Roark added a double and single as part of Harlan’s 10-hit attack. Will Varner and Jeremiah Mills each added one double. Michael Robinson, Jesse Whitehead and Will McCarthy contributed one single each.

Robinson started on the mound and allowed two unearned runs in two innings, with one strikeout and two walks. Adkins allowed two runs in one inning with three walks. McCarthy pitched one shutout inning. Evan Browning allowed three runs (one earned) in one inning to close the game.

Harlan (7-12) will play host to Leslie County on Tuesday.
