Johnson, Jordan team on 2-hitter

Colby Johnson and Thomas Jordan teamed on a two-hitter as New Harlan (11-4) defeated Bell County 10-3 in middle school baseball action Tuesday.

Johnson struck out four and walked six in in four innings. Jordan struck out four and walked five in two innings.

Isaac Kelly led the New Harlan offense with a triple and single. Caleb Brewer and Chuckie Blackshire had two singles each. Ethan Griffith added a triple. Johnson and Jordan added one single each.

Hall and Creech each had singles for Bell County.

The Patriots fell 13-5 at Jenkins on Monday.

Kelly led New Harlan with two triples and a double. Carter Howard, Brewer and Colby Turner added one single each.

Daven Johnson struck out three and walked four as he pitched a complete game.

The Patriots split a pair of games Saturday in Lee County, Va., as they defeated Lee 12-4 and fell 11-7 to Gate City, Va.

Orioles down Jays, improve to 5-0

The Dairy Hut Orioles are off to a good start in minor league action in the Tri-City Little League.

The Orioles improved to 5-0 with a 7-5 win over the Southern Wholesale Blue Jays.

Robby Johnson hit two inside-the-park homers and added a double with three runs scored. Katie Smith drove in three runs with a triple and double. Brycen Saylor added a double and single with two runs scored. Lexi Boggs added a double and Kaylee Lewis contributed a single.
