The 37th annual Tri-City Empty Stocking Fund Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on April 20 at Tri-Cities Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 19101 U.S. 119 North in Cumberland. Bring an Easter basket or something to carry your eggs in. Prize baskets will be handed out in return for a prize egg. Park at the clinic — not on the side of the road for safety of the children.

Harlan Christian Church will host an Easter egg hunt beginning at 11 a.m. on April 20 on the playground of Harlan Elementary School for children, nursery to sixth grade. Wilderness Road State Park’s annual Easter at Karlan celebration begins at 2 p.m. on April 20. Children ages 13 and under are invited to join the Easter Bunny for a candy-filled Easter egg hunt that highlights an afternoon filled with fun, games and prizes. Remake Learning Days at SKCTC will be held from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on April 20 on the Middlesboro campus. Join the City of Evarts Tourism Commission and the Harlan County Ridge Runners for their annual Ramp Festival on April 27. As part of Harlan County’s Bicentennial celebration this year, the Harlan County Arts Council is hosting Wild Pine Mountain: A Primitive Lands Of Harlan County Lecture Series on May 4 at the Harlan County Shrine Ground and Conference Building. Lectures will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This free community enrichment programming is intended to educate people about Harlan County’s more primitive past and natural history. There will be activities for children throughout the day, including face painting, arts and crafts, storytelling and moments with Smokey the Bear. Shriners will be selling concessions all day. There will also be a “get-to-know-one-another” bonfire by the river beginning at 6 p.m. on May 3 on the Shriners grounds.
