With Love From Harlan helps tornado victims

Volunteers are gearing up in preparation for a trip to Alabama in an effort to help recent tornado victims.

With Love From Harlan, a non-profit community organization in Harlan County, recently announced their trip to Alabama. The group hopes to provide tornado relief by transporting a variety of donated items.

The group plans to deliver the items on a 15-foot U-Haul on March 25 and 26.

Donated items may include, but are not limited to, baby wipes, diapers, tarps, cleaning supplies, non-perishable foods/snacks, detergent, Gatorade, large garbage bags, gloves, shovels, Rubbermaid totes and the like.

Those wishing to make donation to With Love From Harlan’s tornado relief effort can bring their items to the Harlan Civic Center and both Southern Wholesale locations (Harlan and Cumberland) up until 4 p.m. on Monday.
