The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• Kimberly Short, 41, of Hulen, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 20. She was charged with failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, license to be in possession and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• David Jones, 30, of Baxter, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 21. He was charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence; no visible injury);

• Jessica Logan, 33, of Cawood, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 21. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Whitney Fox, 27, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 21. She was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• David Mitchell, 34, of Cumberland, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 23. He was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines, failure to appear, no registration receipt, speeding (12 mph over limit), failure to wear seat belts, no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and improper registration plate;

• Greg Durham, 39, of Mount Vernon, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Dec. 24;

• Christopher Miller, 30, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Dec. 24;

• Brendan Miller, 19, of Wallins, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Dec. 24. He was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Preston Saylor, 52, of Evarts, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 25. He was charged with failure to appear, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license (DUI), failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, probation violation and failure to appear;

• Jason Callahan, 27, of Cumberland, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 25. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Bruce Reynolds, 49, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Dec. 26. He was charged with two counts non-payment of court costs/fees/fines and contempt of court;

• Justin Brown, 36, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Dec. 26. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Steven Mullins, 29, of Evarts, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Dec. 26. He was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines.
