Trish Crider, a teacher at Black Mountain Elementary School, was commended for her compassion in the classroom by parent, Miranda Palmer. Palmer said ever since her son started school, everyone told her “he needs medicine” and “he won’t sit still,” but after having Crider as a teacher for the past two years, everything has changed. “She absolutely goes above and beyond for him,” Palmer said. “She is an amazing teacher.” Know someone else making a difference in your community?
