Harlan advanced to district competition with a 14-3 win over Tri-City on Monday at Huff Park, claiming second place in Area 4 (ages 7-8) with a 14-3 win over Tri-City.

Cooper Thomas led Harlan on offense, scoring two runs with an inside-the-park homer and single. Jackson Mackowiak scored three runs on a double and two singles. Isaac Noe singled three times and scored one run. Carter Caldwell had a double and single with one run scored. Hunter Coker, Micah Shope and Landon Coldiron had two singles and one run scored each. Easton Engle added a triple and a run scored. Carson Sanders, Trey Creech and Bentley added one single and a run scored each.

Byron Shepherd, Lexi Boggs and Jordan Smith led the Tri-City offense with two singles each. Caiden Pratt, J.D. Wilson and Bryson Boggs added one single each. Boggs drove in two runs and Smith drove in one. Shepherd, Smith and Wilson scored runs.
