The remodeling of Dairy Queen is another project going on in Harlan.

Mike Sullivan, project supervisor, said that all DQ corporate stores that are 10 years or older are receiving the remodel. The remodel consists of exterior and interior work.

On the outside of the restaurant, Sullivan said crews have been working on a new roof, siding and fresh paint. He added the exterior should be complete in approximately two weeks after finishing touches, such as new lights, are added.

On the inside, Sullivan said they have worked to take down old wallpaper and replace it with fresh paint. He added new tables and chairs, as well as seat cushions, are also being replaced.

Sullivan said landscaping will be done at a later time and the project is scheduled to be completed during the summer.
