The Harlan County High School Superintendent’s Student Council selected and presented the Black Bear Kindness Award to David Dakota Saylor, a senior. Students reflected on Saylor’s caring attitude toward fellow students, teachers and staff. Saylor, the son of David Saylor and the late Margaret Saylor, plans to attend Union College to pursue a career as an English professor. He loves to write rap lyrics, and he also is pursuing an interest of becoming an author. Here, fellow council members Shaun Warren and Rhileigh Alred present the award.
