Teleworks USA workshop coming up in Harlan

Teleworks USA staff members are gearing up for a new round of customer service and tech prep workshops set to begin Jan. 22 at the Harlan Teleworks Hub in Harlan County.

Harlan Hub Manager April Leisge is currently enrolling prospective teleworkers for the two-week workshop, which will cover several topics free of charge to prepare participants to work from a home office via a computer and high speed internet connection. Topics can include customer service, technical support, remote sales and other relevant modules.

Those who successfully complete the curriculum will earn related certifications and receive assistance applying for and landing legitimate jobs with a growing list of national and global telework employers including Concentrix, KellyConnect and others.

“Our workshops have proven invaluable for people who want to begin a career in remote work from a home office,” said Betty Hays, Teleworks USA operations manager. “We’re constantly working to partner with additional companies from across the nation that provide quality, legitimate employment opportunities. At present, our clients have access to hundreds of job leads through our network of partner companies.”
