First newborn of 2019 arrives at HARH

Harlan ARH Hospital welcomed its first baby of the new year, born on Jan. 1.
At 6:54 a.m., Dr. Lanny Hadley delivered Dawnovan Blake Alexander Farley. He weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces, and 19 inches long. Parents are Jody Taylor and Nathaniel Farley. The family resides in Wallins. The grandparents are Jerry and Charlene Helton, John Miracle, and Stanley and Mary Farley, all of Wallins.
As the first baby born at Harlan ARH in 2019, the hospital gave the family a large, baby bathtub full of items every baby needs including a baby monitor.
Harlan ARH Hospital offers private labor-delivery-recovery rooms with a focus on a family-centered birthing experience. Once the baby is born, the hospital offers rooming in for parents and baby to enhance newborn teaching with a newborn nursery nurse available and dedicated to this service 24 hours a day. Harlan ARH also offers a comfortable nursery with a state-of-the-art security system.
