Thomas leads Lady Dragons to win

Carley Thomas pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts as Harlan opened its middle school softball season with an 11-4 victory over New Harlan last week.

Thomas led Harlan at the plate with a double and two singles. Ella Lisenbee contributed a triple and double. Addison Jackson and Mallory McNeil added singles.

Rylie Maggard led New Harlan with a double and single. Rhileigh Estes and Emily Skidmore added one single each.

Maggard pitched for the Patriots.
