The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• Jason Callahan, 28, of Bledsoe, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 24. He was charged with failure to appear, theft by unlawful taking (under $500) and second-degree criminal trespassing;

• Hillary Smallwood, 44, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 24. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Rebekah Creech, 32, of Cumberland, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 25. She was charged with failure of owner to maintain required insurance, failure to produce insurance card, no registration plates, no registration receipt and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• James Brock, 33, of Stoney Fork, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 26. He was charged with failure to appear and non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Brittney Saylor, 28, of Warbranch, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 26. She was charged with failure to appear, probation violation, third-degree possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia;

• Leyton Polly, 18, of Linefork, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 26. He was charged with failure to produce insurance card, failure to wear seat belts, no registration plates, no registration receipt and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Jenny Huth, 42, of Cawood, was arrested by Kentucky Fish & Wildlife officers on Jan. 27. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Misty Smiley, 46, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 27. She was charged with operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license (DUI), operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol and operation of motor vehicle with only one headlight;

• Christie Dunlop, 41, of London, was arrested by Harlan County Detention Center officers on Jan. 27. She was charged with contempt of court;

• Charles Cole, 47, of Harlan, was arrested by probation and parole officers on Jan. 27. He was charged with a probation violation;

• Jonathon Ledford, 34, of Cumberland, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Jan. 27. He was charged with contempt of court;

• Paul Rouse, 28, of Loyall, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 27. He was charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence; minor injury), public intoxication of controlled substance, menacing and resisting arrest;

• Shelbee Chance, 25, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 28. He was charged with theft by unlawful taking (under $500), third-degree criminal trespassing and failure to appear;

• Larry Napier, 30, of Verda, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 29. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Bobby Lewis, 46, of Harlan, was arrested by Harlan Police Department officers on Jan. 29. He was charged with non-payment of court costs/fees/fines and serving parole violation warrant;

• Jason King, 42, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Jan. 29. He was charged with fourth-degree assault (minor injury);

• Miranda Jenkins, 31, of Evarts, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Jan. 29. She was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol), possession of drug paraphernalia and contempt of court;

• Rickey Whitehead, 39, of Cumberland, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on Jan. 30. He was charged with failure to appear and contempt of court.
