The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• Scotty Napier, 30, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Jan. 10;

• Charlie Smith, 41, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 11. He was charged with rear license not illuminated, no registration plates, no registration receipt, registration and title requirements for vehicle not operational on highway, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance and operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol;

• Michael Lankford, 35, of Cumberland, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on Jan. 11. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Wanda Napier, 55, of Baxter, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 12. She was charged with two counts failure to appear and non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Jimmy Bailey, 36, of Baxter, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Jan.12. He was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place;

• Paula Gregory, 39, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Jan. 13. She was charged with failure to appear, resisting arrest and public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• Nichole Evans, 39, of Cumberland, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Jan. 13. She was charged with failure to appear;

• Matthew Adams, 25, of Cumberland, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 13. He was charged with a parole violation;

• William Williams, 41, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Harlan County Detention Center officers on Jan. 13. He was charged with failure to appear;

• Derrick Cottrell, 31, of Baxter, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 14. He was charged with violation of a Kentucky EPO/EVO;

• John Garnett, 38, of Ewing, Virginia, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Jan. 14;

• Jessica Brock, 38, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 15. She was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• Dianne Lewis, 50, of Harlan, was arrested by Loyall Police Department officers on Jan. 15. She was charged with contempt of court;

• Kathy Rice, 35, of Harlan, was lodged in the detention center on Jan. 15 to be held for court;

• Kimberly Holbrook, 21, of Harlan, was lodged in the detention center on Jan. 15 to be held for court;

• James Wade, 65, of Baxter, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Jan. 15. He was charged with failure to produce insurance card, failure to owner to maintain required insurance, operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, failure to wear seat belts and operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license;

• Joey Collins, 25, of Campbellsville, was lodged in detention center per court order for 60 days on Jan. 16;

• Sheldon Robinette, 42, of Cranks, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Office deputies on Jan. 16. He was charged with contempt of court;

• Brandon Buell, 34, of Dayhoit, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Jan. 16. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol), second-degree disorderly conduct and failure to appear;

• Cody Cooper, 26, of Lawrenceburg, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Jan. 16.
