Locals receive honors at Lindsey Wilson College

COLUMBIA — Twenty Harlan County residents earned academic honors at Lindsey Wilson College for the 2019 fall semester.

The following students were named to the President’s List: Jessica Belcher, of Wallins; Stacy Blas, of Evarts; Paul Browning, of Cumberland; Melissa Daniels, Cawood; April Dinsmore, of Benham; Disa Fillippinie, of Harlan; Della Flanary, of Baxter; Ashley Gilliam, of Cumberland; Ashley Harris, of Harlan; Rebecca Raleigh, of Harlan; and Kayla Stewart, of Loyall.

Students named to the President’s List earned a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) on a scale of 4.0 and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.

The following students were named to the Dean’s List: Tonya Begley, of Evarts; Serena Brewer, of Harlan; Miranda Cook, of Cawood; Stephen Creech, of Cumberland; Kaitlyn Johnson, of Cumberland; Kylie Royce, of Cumberland; Hunter Smallwood, of Harlan; Jenell Spurlock, of Grays Knob; and Makiya Weaver, of Cumberland.

Students named to the Dean’s List earned at least a 3.50 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale and attempted at least 12 credit hours during the semester.
