Howard leads Rosspoint past Cawood

Carter Howard scored 11 points and Will Cassim added nine as Rosspoint (3-1) rolled to a 52-26 win Tuesday at Cawood in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Jace Noe led Cawood (0-4) with 12 points.

Rosspoint handed Cawood its first loss in fifth- and sixth-grade action as Gunner Burkhart scored 10 in Rosspoint’s 36-16 victory.

Ethan Shuler led Cawood with 10 points.

Sizemore scores 25 as Wildcats win

Ashton Sizemore scored 25 points and Dion Brown added 13 as Evarts (3-1) edged visiting Cumberland 50-49 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Tuesday.

Jonah Mumford scored 23 and Junior Sanchez added 10 for Cumberland (0-4).

Evarts jumped out to a 25-0 lead in the fifth- and sixth-grade game on the way to a 39-11 victory. Hayston Bennett scored 11 to lead the Wildcats.

Kayden Adams paced the Redskins with seven points.

Evarts won 18-6 in a fourth-grade game.

Green Dragons sweep Arlie Boggs

All 11 Harlan players scored as the Green Dragons defeated visiting Arlie Boggs 56-13 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Monday.

Nate Montanaro scored 12 to lead the Dragons.

Caleb Cook scored nine to pace Arlie Boggs.

Luke Luttrell led a balanced Harlan attack with eight points as the Dragons rolled past Arlie Boggs 53-16 in fifth- and sixth-grade basketball action.

Colton Holbrook led Arlie Boggs with eight points.
