Cawood Elementary School students and staff celebrated Veterans Day with a program at the school on Monday. A group of students recited the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of the program. Tim McElyea, the JROTC instructor at Harlan County High School, talked about what it meant to be a veteran and shared his thoughts on those who have served our country in the armed forces. Students gave a standing ovation to those veterans in attendance at the program.
