KSP asking for help in Evarts theft case

On Oct. 19 at approximately 7 p.m., Kentucky State Police Post 10 received a complaint of a burglary at along KY 38 in Evarts.

Upon arrival, troopers determined someone had forced themselves inside of the residence. The victim advised he had been out of town for a couple weeks and came back home to find out his gun safe and several guns had been stolen from his residence. Those guns include a 28-gauge shotgun, M1A grand, .22 rifle and a Winchester safe.

Troopers determined the force of entry was from the garage outside the residence and believe the theft happened sometime around the early part of October.

The case remains under investigation by KSP trooper Matthew Barger.
