“The purpose of Newspeak was not only to provide a medium of expression for the world-view and mental habits proper to the devotees of Ingsoc, but to make all other modes of thought impossible.”

George Orwell, from “1984”

Earlier in 2019, a man, Walt Heyer, came forward in the USA Today op-ed piece to express regret for the years he had spent living as a woman. Heyer has remarked how as a child his grandmother had dressed him in a purple dress and commenting on what a pretty girl he made. Heyer, who lived 8 years of his life as “Laura,” from age 42 to 50, told of how that lead to confusion and turmoil in his life.

Heyer, who was diagnosed with gender dysphoria at age 42 and with deep psychological and emotional issues related to childhood trauma at 50, commented that he felt his uncle never would have abused him if his grandmother hadn’t dressed him as a girl when he was a child. In the article linked below, Heyer recounts how the expectations of gender reassignment never lived up to it for him (and studies suggest for most people) and that eight years as living as a woman brought him nothing but regret.

In more recent, and related news, a father in Texas (Jeffery Younger) faces what could be his final court battle in the tumultuous battle to save his 7-year-old son from being transitioned into a little girl.

According to interviews with Younger, his son, James acts and behaves like a normal little boy when he is with him and only expresses interest in being a girl when he is with his mother. Younger, who suggests the boy’s mother, Dr. Ann Georgelas actively prods their son into the behavior, and says, the mother has repeatedly accused him of child abuse for not treating James as a little girl. And even though the courts have ruled that Younger should have equal input in the child’s raising, Dr. Georgelas has the child registered in school as a girl named “ Luna” ( perhaps a bit of irony there), and he uses the ladies restroom.

All of which begs the question; how can two parents have equal input when one is clearly and demonstrably insane?

This past week at a town hall the utter insanity for the so-called green movement slouched even more towards insanity and total evil. In the course of fielding questions from the attendees, freshman congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez handed off the microphone to either a modern incarnation of Johnathon Swift or someone possessed by demonic spirits. When presented with the opportunity to speak, this woman remarked that even though things like the “Green New Deal” were preferable it did not go far enough. The lady in question suggested, in what I would guess it to better control population growth, that we should begin to eat babies. I will devote more time to this column and my blog in the future to dispel the myth the left perpetuates that there’s not enough room on this planet. But for now, I have to wonder have the granola crunch crowd absconded Veganism in favor of flesh-eating? Or does this hearken back to the sadistic pagan practices of sacrificing infants to Molech or whatever “deity” they felt could control the weather? Whatever it is, it appears to be another instance of co-mingling insanity and evil.

In the recent conviction of Amber Guyger in the murder of Botham Jean, her neighbor. Jean’s brother in the aftermath of the sentencing exhibited Christ-like behavior that I myself and sinfully envious of, and I feel, probably wholly unable to emulate. Instead of feeling the need for retribution he instead forgave Guyger and said he wanted the best for her and wanted her to come to know Jesus.

This, an act of kindness and courage which should be met with praise and adulation has drawn ire and criticism from the cast of race-baiters, hucksters and clowns, who make their living off of racism. Though I abhor pushing the racial element into situations it was somewhat unavoidable in this case, and especially in light of the hoopla surrounding it afterword. It is sad that a shining example of what we should and can be is perverted and sullied by hucksters who wish for race relations to never improve and in fact deteriorate.

A video was recently released of a now-former, University of Tennessee football player on the back of a police cruiser. The young man, who I assume was no more than 20 years of age, let loose a litany of curse words, slurs, threats and racially charged statements. He even remarked at one time to an intern doing a ride-along that she shouldn’t want to be the police, because “where he was from, they shot the police.” This behavior seemingly supported by his coach who was noticeably upset the police did their job by arresting someone who had a warrant. The university in a fit of wisdom or perhaps covering their own rear end dismissed the player from the team and the university.

In this incident, Tennessee’s coach and the young man put on full display the psychotic and far too common anti-police attitude. They also expressed the popular notion among some that collegiate athletes shouldn’t be held responsible for their actions, in particular, criminal behavior.

I’ve been a fan of sports on all levels for as far as I can remember, but the attitude of worship towards college athletes is befuddling to me. To some it seems as if the same athletes who display such thuggery and malice should still be carved in stone on Mount Olympus with the Greek gods or perhaps occupy the space of the Titans. It times it seems not only in spite of behavior but because of it. Perhaps people are following the lead of Colin Kaepernick and other Antifa devotees. The insanity of this attitude of disdain is tantamount to spitting in the audience who supports sports on all levels right in the face. And though I would never suggest that athletes, just like anyone else aren’t entitled to their opinion, right to speech or protest, even if I don’t like it. I would say however that the cultural-Marxist ideas promoted and put forth by some of the malcontents spurring these movements on, are bad not only for sports but are dangerous for this country and what used to be our way of life.
