‘Coffee with a Cop’ is a national event taking place across the country, where citizens and law enforcement can come together and talk. Whether it is discussing community issues or talking about the local football game — the event is designed to build and strengthen relationships.

Kentucky State Police Post 10 troopers and community members will discuss issues and learn more about each other on Oct. 2, from 8 to 10 a.m., at Dairy Queen in Harlan.

The event will be relaxed, informal and open for discussions about the issues community residents feel are important. Radios and cell phones are off for the duration of the event so community members can have stress-free conversations with police officers.
