The Harlan County High School marching band attended the North Laurel High School Marching Invitational on Sept. 14 in London. The band finished first place in Class AA and also received best percussion in Class AA. The band finished with an overall placement of fourth out of all of the competing bands at the competition. It is the first time since the band has participated at the North Laurel Invitational that the band received first place in the class. It is also the first time in school history for the band to receive first place in a KMEA sanctioned contest.
