Angi Ellison, a parent of an enthusiastic young boy with autism/ADHD, recommended Rosspoint Elementary School teacher Kim Hensley for our Good For You section due to her innate ability to engage students in the classroom. Ellison said her son had a difficulty overcoming sensory issues to learn, but since having Hensley as a teacher, he is focusing and interacting like never before. “Not only is she compassionate, kind and loving, but she knows how to take his cues and knows what excites him to learn,” Ellison said. “She helps in any way possibly and she means the world to Tucker and our family.” Ellison said her family is very thankful for the work Hensley does both inside and outside the classroom.
