Cawood wins twice over Green Hills

Cawood claimed a pair of recent wins over Green Hills in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action, winning 24-12 on Thursday at Green Hills and 37-3 in the rematch Monday at Cawood.

Taylor Clem scored 14 to lead the Lady Comets in the first game.

Alishia Middleton paced Green Hills with 10 points.

Clem poured in 23 points in the win Monday.

Cawood plays host to Evarts on Tuesday. Green Hills plays at Wallins on Tuesday.

Rosspoint nips Cumberland in overtime

Rosspoint edged Cumberland 25-23 in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action Monday. Jenna Wilson led the Lady Cats with nine points.

Bebe Estep scored six points to lead Cumberland.

Rileigh Duff scored five as Rosspoint won 21-0 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Ashley Preston scored 18 points as Evarts stayed unbeaten on the season with a 35-25 win over visiting Wallins in seventh- and eighth-grade basketball action.

Whitley Teague led Wallins with seven points.

Willow Peace scored 10 as Evarts won 25-24 in fifth- and sixth-grade action.

Whitney Noe scored 16 to pace the Lady Devils.

Evarts won 11-0 in a fourth-grade game.

Wallins plays host to Green Hills on Tuesday. Evarts travels to Cawood on Tuesday.
