The following individuals were recently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center:

• Jonathon Clem, 30, of Coalgood, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 2. He was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place (second offense);

• Quinton Johnson, 36, of Liberty, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Brett Sherrill, 46, of Fredonia, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Ryan Bell, 32, of Crittenden, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Dennis Blevins, 35, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Lowell Gilliam, 38, of Olive Hill, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Anthony Meadows, 23, of Stanton, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Darnell Thomas, 27, of Lexington, was lodged in the detention center as a state inmate on Aug. 2;

• Michael Hensley, 33, of Hopkinsville, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 2. He was charged with fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and flagrant non-support;

• Russell Smallwood, 53, of Middlesboro, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 2. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol);

• Nellie Herron, 51, of Wallins, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 4. She was charged with two counts non-payment of court costs/fees/fines;

• Clair Stines, 70, of Loyall, was arrested by Harlan County Detention Center officials on Aug. 5. She was charged with contempt of court;

• Donny Gilbert, 55, of Cawood, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 4. He was charged with failure to appear, failure to wear seat belts, operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, third-degree possession of controlled substance (drug unspecified), prescription controlled substance without proper container, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license and failure to surrender revoked operator’s license;

• Tommy Saylor, 53, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Aug. 5. He was charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO, improper display of registration plates, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, no registration receipt, public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol), driving on suspended license (DUI; second offense) and first-degree disorderly conduct;

• Jamie Harris, 34, of Cumberland, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on Aug. 5. He was charged with two counts failure to appear;

• Derrick Tindell, 29, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Aug. 6. He was charged with a serving parole violation warrant and failure to appear;

• Ronald Nolan, 31, of Evarts, was arrested by Evarts Police Department officers on Aug. 7. He was charged with fishing without a license/permit;

• William Whitehead, 36, of Cumberland, was arrested by Cumberland Police Department officers on Aug. 7. He was charged with public intoxication of controlled substance (excluding alcohol) and fourth-degree assault (domestic violence; minor injury);

• Jerry Elliott, 18, of Harlan, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 7. He was charged with second-degree sexual abuse;

• Lenose Stroming, 46, of London, was arrested by probation and parole officers on Aug. 8. She was charged with a probation violation;

• Karrie McGurie, 39, of Ashland, was arrested by probation and parole officers on Aug. 8. She was charged with a probation violation;

• Justin Harris, 34, of Wallins, was arrested by Harlan County Sheriff’s Department deputies on Aug. 8. He was charged with two counts failure to appear;

• Ronald Bennett, 72, of Baxter, was arrested by Harlan City Police Department officers on Aug. 8. He was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol and failure to wear seat belts;

• Adam Teague, 31, of Putney, was arrested by Kentucky State Police troopers on Aug. 9. He was charged with operation of motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs/alcohol, operating on suspended/revoked operator’s license, rear license not illuminated, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance and improper equipment;

• Aaron Carr, 27, of Harlan, was arrested by probation and parole officers on Aug. 9. He was charged with drug court sanction.
