Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College has named its Students of the Month for April.

Jared Boggs has been chosen as the Student of the Month of the Harlan campus. Boggs, a Kentucky State Police sergeant in Harlan County, already holds an associate degree from Southeast, but he is currently working on a second degree in carpentry. He says that he is able to juggle his roles as a father, student and as a police officer because of the flexible hours offered by the college. He adds, “I love the atmosphere here.”

Regan Nicole Caudill is the Student of the Month on the Cumberland campus. Caudill was recently accepted into Southeast’s RN Program. She will begin this fall and plans to graduate in 2021. She looks forward to two more years at Southeast because, she says, “So far my experience has been nothing but amazing.”

Each SKCTC campus has a Student of the Month selection committee appointed by its campus director. In making its choice, the committee weighs criteria such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, work ethic, helpfulness to others, and whether the student has had to overcome significant barriers in achieving academic success.
