Harlan’s annual Way Of The Cross brought many to the courthouse and downtown area in observance for Good Friday. The annual Easter Weekend tradition was started by the late Dawn Nunez, who was an active member of the Harlan Community. Her daughter, Donell Busroe, has been continuing the observance, with many people throughout the community making it apart of their Easter tradition. Matthew Nunez was the cross bearer, and was followed by the gathering as scripture was recited and songs sung about Christ’s crucifixion.
