Harlan County continued its early-season success at the plate by pounding out 11 hits Tuesday in a 9-5 victory at Letcher Central.

Hannah Johnson, Emily Collett and Emily Evans each had two hits to lead the 2-1 Lady Bears. Evans drove in three runs and Johnson drew three walks. Rhileigh Alred added an RBI double in the sixth inning. Nikki Creech, Brandy Adam, Allee Galloway and Kerrigan Creech contributed one single each.

Kerrigan Creech pitched a complete game with four strikeouts and three walks. She gave up five hits and only two earned runs.

Harlan County will travel to Harlan on Thursday for its district opener.
