Fourth grade students at Black Mountain Elementary recently participated in a playground design project. Students visited the media center to research designs and the cost of intermediate playgrounds. Students interviewed classmates and drew up a mock design based on data collection findings. The final product was created during Makerspace a time for students to come to the media center and create using a variety of materials. The project includes a shelter, swing, jungle gym, corn hole, benches and basketball court. Students will present their playground model and anticipated budget to Mrs. LeFevers.
