Cumberland Mayor Charles Raleigh recently swore in the newest member of the Cumberland Police Department, Aaron Smith. Smith is a resident of Harlan, but is no stranger to Cumberland. He most recently served as bear technician for the Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife. Police Chief Cody Williamson said he is looking forward to working with Smith as he begins his career with CPD. “We welcome Officer Smith to the city of Cumberland and hope you will introduce yourselves as you see him out in town,” Williamson said.
