HHS wins District 52 Governor’s Cup

Harlan High School took top honors in the District Governor’s Cup recently. Harlan County High School placed second, followed by Leslie County High School in third.
HHS also placed first in Quick Recall, followed by Harlan County and Leslie County.
Leslie County took first place in Future Problem Solving. Harlan High School placed second and Harlan County High School third.
Individual assessment results include:
Mathematics: Janice Dean, Harlan County, first place; Emerson Johnson, Harlan County, second; Jared Lewis, Harlan County, third; Emily Smith, Harlan, fourth; Kilian Ledford, Harlan, fifth.
Science: Andrew Benson, Harlan, first; Benjamin Rice, Leslie County, second; Jared Lewis, Harlan County, third; Luke Parker, Harlan County, fourth; CJ Seals, Harlan, fifth.
Social Studies: TJ Hensley, Harlan, first; Jordyn Amundsen, Leslie County, second; Edmund Dye, Harlan County, third; Brett Roark, Harlan County, fourth; Dylan Caldwell, Leslie County, and CJ Seals, Harlan, fifth (tie).
Language Arts: TJ Hensley, Harlan, first; Bryson Lee, Harlan, second; Baylee Turner, Harlan, third; Bridgett Craig, Harlan County, fourth; Hannah Pittman, Harlan County, fifth.
