LMU awards over 350 degrees; fall Dean’s List announced

HARROGATE, Tenn. — Lincoln Memorial University awarded degrees to more than 350 students during its winter commencement exercises in December in Tex Turner Arena. Radio and television personality Hallerin Hilton Hill delivered the graduation address.
During the ceremony, LMU President Clayton Hess conferred 28 associate, 151 baccalaureate, 134 masters, 31 educational specialist and 13 doctoral degrees.
Those receiving degrees locally included: Bianca Absher, of Evarts, Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree; Gary Blanton, of Wallins, Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Learning and Development degree; Kayla Howard, of Benham, Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology degree; and Donna Saylor, of Coldiron, Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
In addition, LMU has announced the Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2018. Six hundred and twenty-eight undergraduate students were honored. To be placed on the Dean’s List, the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.
Local students included on the Dean’s List were: Rhett Alred, of Loyall; Alisha Helton, of Evarts; Sarah Hill, of Coldiron; Kayla Howard, of Benham; Emily Howard, of Bledsoe; Dalton Jones, of Harlan; Casey Ledford, of Cawood; Aaron Rowe, of Baxter; and Natalie Tomlinson of Putney.
