Student Citizens of the Month

Erika “Nikki” Creech, a senior at Harlan County High School, has been named the 2018 Monticello Banking Company Student Citizen Award winner. Here, Kevin Cavins, representing the bank, presents a $100 honorarium and the award to Creech. Monticello Banking Company is dedicated to this recognition program to honor outstanding students in the Harlan County and Harlan Independent school districts. Faculty and administrators from each district nominate students demonstrating exceptional academic achievement, leadership, sports and community participation. The daughter of Eric and Tina Creech, of Cumberland, she is a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society, softball team, Link Crew and Talent Search. She has compiled a 4.0 grade point average and has taken dual credit classes, including anatomy, english, college algebra, history, psychology and biology. She is planning to attend Lincoln Memorial University to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine.

Cassidy Foster, a senior at Harlan High School, has been named the October 2018 Monticello Banking Company Student Citizen Award recipient. The daughter of Julie Napier, Cassidy is a cheerleader, Beta Club historian, and a member of the Future Business Leaders of America and the RHO KAPPA Honorary History Club. She plans to attend Eastern Kentucky University to pursue a degree in psychology. She has a 4.0 grade point average while taking Advanced Placement courses.
