It was a festive event, the annual Harlan County Christmas Parade, that was held Saturday to celebrate the Christmas season with hundreds gathered along Main Street; enjoying the wintry day and reveling in the joy, sights and sounds of the occasion.

Sisters Hailey and Leah Collins appeared to enjoy the Harlan County Christmas Parade on Saturday as they took in the sights and sounds of the festive event from a vantage point near the fire station.

Members of the Harlan County High School band were holiday festive in their red while livening up the annual Harlan County Christmas Parade on Saturday afternoon. Hundreds crammed Main Street to usher in the season.

A young shepherd boy was bundled up Saturday to ward off the December chill as he took part in the Harlan County Christmas Parade.
