Corbin’s Payton Jones made a block in 13th Region Tournament action on Saturday against Harlan County at Corbin. Corbin advanced to the semifinals with a 25-4, 25-13, 25-7 win over Harlan County. Lynn Camp defeated Harlan 21-25, 26-24, 25-23, 25-21. Knox Central downed Jackson County 28-26, 25-18, 25-14 and South Laurel defeated North Laurel 25-12, 25-17, 25-11 in other first-round action. South Laurel defeated Lynn Camp 25-12 25-4, 25-12 in the semifinals on Monday. Corbin defeated Knox Central 25-9, 25-18 25-4 in the the other semifinal. The championship game is slated for Tuesday at 7 p.m. with Corbin taking on South Laurel in a rematch of the 50th District finals. Harlan finished the season with a 12-15 record. Harlan County posted a 9-17 record.
